I have a CD that I would like to create but the only recordable CD's that I find in stores are 80 minutes or 700MB. I need CD's that can store more music. Any suggestions?

mp3 files can expand the time capacity on a regular disc to be closer to 8 hours of music but your player has to be able to play mp3 discs, you could use a DVD disc to burn as a music disc just like a regular music CD, but because its a DVD, you need to run the disc in a DVD player.......your only other option is to simply use the standard discs and burn more than one to get the music you want, in general you can fit 1 or 2 albums worth of music on a standard CD-r disc.

The CD format is limited to that size. You can store more data on a CD by saving mp3 files to it, but you'll need a player that supports the mp3 format in order to play the discs. If you want to fit more then that much sound on a disc that works in a regular CD player, then you are out of luck. Produce a double album instead.

Yes you can do it with no issues.

I recently converted my MP3 music library from 15 CD's to 3 DVD's. The DVD's hold about 1200 average sized MP3's each.

Just select "Data DVD" when you start your burning program. I use Nero and it give me choices of what type of "disk" I want to create. If I select "Music DVD" I can't put as many songs on a single disk. That is why I select "data DVD".

Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!

you can, but it will only play in a DVD player. If you save it as a wave file you get fewer songs. If you save MP3 (they have a converter to convert wave to MP3 on download.com) you get more music.

It really depends on where you wanna play the music. If your car has dvd player I would say it to a regular CD in MP3's and get 700 minutes of music, a DVD disk will get about 4 times as many in MP3 format.

you can use DVD's for data storage like songs, Im just not so sure how well they will play on the DVD compared to the CD.
