Can I use any brand of wireless network card with a MAC?

My stepbrother got an eMac from his dad. It's a little old, but better than NO comp so I want to hook him up to my wireless network. Can I buy a linksys USB network card and get him up and running? I think I should be able to.

You can uses any brand of Network Card that is MAC compatible and with MAC drivers.

Does that model of MAC have usb? If it does what version is it? Are there MAC drivers available for the USB Linksys Network adaptor?
