I've always wanted to do that music note (♫ or ♪ ) and the heart (♥) symbol {i copied these} but I can't seem to get it. Someone told me that with the music note you hold alt and push the #2 on the 'calculator' 5 times, and the heart to hold alt and push #3 once. But it doesn't work for me. Could someone explain to me how to do this, also if there are any other symbols that you know besides the music note and the heart, you can add that to your answer if you want. hope you can help. My computer has plugs in the back and front to plug in a VCR with a cable cord or with the three pronged cord. However, the software that came with the computer (HP Pavillion Media Center) seems to only think you should want to use this to set up and watch cable. I would VERY much like to use it to simply plug in the VCR, play one of my home videos, and have it record in digital format onto my computer so that I can edit it and save on DVD.

Do I need some other software for that? I do not know how I could get the computer to record this imput, or what software to DOWNLOAD.

Could I get some specific answers please? Thank you all.

well I'm celebrating my Mom's bday in march 2007 ..My problem is that I would love to have a video with pics, music and her friends opinions to show that day at the party But I don't have money to get it done professionally , I'm willing to buy a program and make one myself because I have a computer at home and a lot of time to spend in the process. I live in Singapore and we use PAL TV. I hook up TV with multi-format VCR and DVD recorder. I can play and record PAL video tape on DVD recorder thus converting into DVD. But when I play NTSC tapes, the DVD recorded is in black and white or blurred. The NTSC tapes can play well on TV but not when recorded on DVD. I tried to use Dazzle software to convert from NTSC tape but the output on the PC monitor screen is still in black and white, whereas if I play a PAL tape, the monitor shows color. It seems that I cannot convert NTSC tapes into DVD because the output is always in black and white. Is there something with the wire connection or the hardware? What type of hardware should I use? I have about 20 NTSC tapes that I want to convert. Thank you.
