make music? you mean record?

program wise i like sonar 4 (producer edition), mainly because it's got a lot of editing power, the ability to record a large number of tracks at the same time, and very compatible with add-ons (such as antares auto tune, the waves bundle, etc.) i'd go with pro-tools, but you can only get the top of the line software with their hardware, and i don't have thousands i can drop on any audio hardware.

Audacity is magnificent. I honestly have it. that's great in case you prefer to tutor all your old vinyl into mp3's. I honestly have tried many of the unfastened classes and audacity is unquestionably the main consumer friendly. L.T.
