Use winzip to encrypt your folder.

After installing winzip, right click the folder you wish to password protect, select add to zip file, select encrypt on the right of the winzip dialog box, enter your password and you are done!

THE best answer is to zip the file and encript it with a password and deleted the original file.Ensure that u dont forget the passcode

right click the folder and go to properties and Hidden it.
OR
make a new xp login account and put it there and give password to that account

Simple way is to change folder's attributes as 'hidden'
