where can i find to download and burn windows media edition on a disk so when i reformat my computer i can use that boot disk and install it again?

as matt said, there should be as partitioned drive, usually "drive D" in "my computer", which has all of yoiur restore information, including operating system.

You can make a CD or DVD for backup and restore purposes from these files. Most computer manufacturers are doing this these days ... and will charge you extra for a pre-made disk, if indeed one is available at all.

new computers rarely have restore disks shipped with them anymore, but they all have restore partitions on the harddrive, and usually allow you to burn your own recovery disks from that partition. i'd call customer service from whatever company you bought that pc and ask them how to do it, they should help you out.

What XP does no longer contain is drivers for the hardware supported by way of Vista. be valuable to line up XP drivers for all your hardware till now doing something drastic. Many components don't have XP drivers.

Mine is the same way, it says that instead of rebooting you can just use system restore and restore your computer to a point in the past.
