I've always wanted to do that music note (♫ or ♪ ) and the heart (♥) symbol {i copied these} but I can't seem to get it. Someone told me that with the music note you hold alt and push the #2 on the 'calculator' 5 times, and the heart to hold alt and push #3 once. But it doesn't work for me. Could someone explain to me how to do this, also if there are any other symbols that you know besides the music note and the heart, you can add that to your answer if you want. hope you can help. Thanks.

You can check the Character Map program:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map

Select a font like "Times New Roman" and you can copy and paste it wherever you like.

The application will also tell you the ALT code if it is available (just highlight it and observe the message at the bottom right of the status bar)

Follow link for some more ALT codes...
