I have a 2007 1200R sportster. I have about two thousand miles on it and already I have had two oil leaks, a bad nuetral indicator switch, and now it is in the shop having the fuel pump rebuilt. Without hearing from the usual Harley bashers, I was wondering if anyone else has had this many problems with a new bike. Thanks

I polished out my most of my frame and swingarm and its starting to look pretty good. There are a few spots were it almost looks tarnished, whats the best polish to take it off and really make it shine.

Also to finshing my frame i have to get ride of the textured part. If you have a 00 R6 you know what im talking about. Whats the easiest way to get this smooth so i can start to polish it.

I need to change the oil in my ATV. I cannot locate the owner's manual. Does anyone know if it has an oil filter? If so where is it located? How much oil do they hold? Do I need to remove the crankcase and remove the sludge too?

I need to transport my bike from Chicago down to school in Champaign, IL. They are about 250miles apart. A u-haul costs about $250+gas, I can't afford it. I my car can't tow anything. I can rent a cargo van but I will have to return it at the same location. SO. I think I am just going to ride my Honda CBR 600F3 back.
I have never taken such a long ride before.
The ride is mostly highway in the country side.
Can anybody give me some tips on riding a crotchrocke such a long distance.
I know I will be taking my time and getting breaks as often as I need in the trip.
But anything I should be watching out for?
Anything I should prepare on my bike?
ANYTHING?!
Thanks

It's me again, with another motorcycle question. Can anyone recommend a really good make of leather motorcycle jacket that would suit a modern Bonneville? I've seen all sorts of gear on the net at all sorts of prices, but it's difficult to determine what's good and what aint.

Just wondered if anyone else has encountered the spline wearing out thus being unable to change gear or have great difficulty trying to.The allen screw tightens right up but the gear lever still rotates on the splines.Anyone got any suggestions for a Mod rather than buy another linkage? I've tried taking the screw out and putting a nylock nut and bolt through for extra tightness but still no joy.Maybe I could clamp the splined gear lever a little bit in a vice?

My yamaha r6 runs a bit better after I sprayed the carbs on it but still runs crappy. I know i need to take the carbs apart but dont know how too really but i've been using seafoam and it works better now. The bike is getting better but anyone recommend something else other than seafoam(B-12 maybe?). My friend says the carb cleaner works best when u take it on the highway and open the throttle...anyone try that? Any advice on fixing it would be great, i dont have 200 t0 spend at the bike shop.
