Keep this bike stone stock! They are worth an absolute fortune in stock condition (1980 and older. The newer ones are worth much less). If you are selling, let me know how much please.

Are you selling or buying?
It can make a difference. Like the wiring.
If you're buying, then the wiring may be a bit hacked from all the lights, radios, sirens, etc. They usually get installed and removed by the department, not a pro.
If you're selling, you already know that and presumably have fixed it.
Fixed may be worth more.
A side note: small towns/cities here in the Northeast don't lay down the bikes for training. Some still look like it, though.

best thing to do is get a wheels and deal type auto magazine and look for what bikes in that range and year are going 4...also check your paper and see what the prices are on the one in your town...then if yours is in good condition ask what the higher price for that year and make! Right now bike are hot,but I think you could probably get 800 to a 1000 if it's in good shape!

I would get rid of all the extra BS off the bike and turn it into a cafe racer like the ones they used in the first Mad Max movies. Those are bad *** bikes.

Another point is that the police version is slightly different than an stock KZ1000 (heavier frame and susp) so parts could be an issue.

not much they dont auction them off untill they are about wore out. after their service life they are used for training one of the things a trainee has to do is lay that bike down on purpose. Still wanna buy one?
