my dad is doing work on a 95 dyna for a guy . the bike only had 98 miles on it when we started working on it, the guy bought it and was scared to ride it so he let is sit in his garage until now. so we did put pipes and bigger jets on the carb. after all the work was done. When trying to start the bike you will just hear a click! and no start. we pushed started it and it ran fine. So we replaced the starter and still just click! and we changed the starter realy too soame problem.do you tink there is a short and the circuit breaker is making the click.

This is a friend's bike. It shifts and runs fine until it gets warm, then it is difficult to run through the gears. The clutch seems to disengage, but not completely. It's nearly impossible to get it in neutral while stopped at a light; it seems the cluch isn't releasing properly. Is there a clutch adjustment at the engine like on an older bike that we can try? Any other ideas? BTW, it's a cable operated clutch, not hydraulic.

I had a bike when I was younger but I was never showed how to change gears, I'm going to be sitting my bike theory soon and then I'm going to do my CBT and I know they'll show me then but I'd like to have at least some prior knowledge on changing gear please.

I know it's controlled using a clutch on the left handlebar and a lever/switch next to the left foot.

But how do you know which gear you are in?

is it a case of tapping the lever down if you want to go to the next gear down and tapping up to go to the next gear up?

how would you select neutral?

thanks in advance, please be clear in your answers :)

I just bought an '83 KZ750 that has been sitting for 3 years. The engine is getting worked on, but the mechanic wants to charge me $300 to clean the carburetors and $30 for the gas tank. I'm mechanically savvy, but not an expert. Can I do the work myself? How do I clean old gasoline out of a quad carb and the gas tank?

Anyone know if I can do my motorbike license in English on Mallorca? Would the theory/practical be in the same language? And is the A license the Direct Access equivalent, ie. I would be able to drive all categories of motorcycles?
Hope someone can help me with this, because I'm dying to get cruising round this island on a bike!
Saying that, anyone who would like to join me, let me know.

Hey all. Here's my problem: three days ago I was riding for about 20 minutes when the bike just quit, the engine kept spinning in gear but no spark. I pulled over and observed the lights and horn were weak and sluggish, and the starter motor wouldn't respond at all. I'm walking the bike back, I come to a downhill stretch 10 min later and successfully started the bike rolling down and dropping the clutch. Bike stayed running for 2 or 3 min and died again same as before. Tried push starting again unsuccessfully many times immediately after, but when I tried 20 min later it started again, went a few min, and died again, repeat for 7 miles. Assumed dead battery, charged overnight, rode about town during the day about 20 miles total and it died again same as before, no response from starter at all, won't push start either. 5 hours and out of work it starts with the starter but dies same as before 2 min later pulling into my driveway. ????? Where to start? I don't get it...
