nice scooter for beginners and nice price. Thanks I was looking also cant find one under $800. get it!!!

it's electric. it's crap. you can get a much better scooter that is gas powered for the same price. i had a yamaha riva. also vespas are powerful. but that electric thing is going to strain at 20mph, making him dangerous on the road, and it will always be having battery troubles. if he wan'ts something to scoot around campus or on walk-paths, i'd go with a smaller electric scooter. if he actually wants to go on a road, this is dangerous.

if you go with a gas engine, 125cc is fairly powerful as far as scooters go. not really freeway worthy, but it took me up to 50mph at times. but the idea is that you're not using it at the top speed all the time.

Before even thinking about buying it
MAKE SURE!!! -
1) someone near you will repair it when it stops running.
2) you can buy a shop manual - you or someone not familiar with it might end up having to repair it.
3) you can get parts for it when it breaks - most wholesale and Internet dealers are not affiliated with the manufactures and have no means of ordering parts..

Spend the extra money and buy a well known, brand name machine.
Buy a used one if money is tight.
