How do I install bar ends?

I am trying to install bar end sliders to my '01 R6 and my allen wrench will not fit inside the slider.

First off....you shouldn't be using an allen wrench.
It won't produce enough torque to tighten/loosen the bolt.
It can easily slip off and damage the bolt along with your knuckles.
Use an allen bit on a socket.
You might need an extra long one.
