If you're having a problem with this, then you need to get a tall windshield and a (closed) full face helmet.
Never had a problem with bugs on my Kawasaki Police Special. Did run over an opossum once though.

There are other reasons besides fashion and crash protection for wearing a helmet. This is one of them. Some of those bugs can get big enough to practically knock you off the bike

Gasoline works wonders... :) Just remember to ride with your mouth closed or you might get an early lunch time snack.

What? Just wear a full helmet with a dark face sheild. Just make sure the helmet matches your paint exactly. It doesn't matter if you can see traffic or not, as long as nobody can see you.
