I have asked and received many answers on this car as i have been restoring it--this problem is baffling me--how can this be?
when my engine timing is set at factory spec or 0 degrees the car backfires hesitates and runs like crap--but fires up perfectly-- to get my car to run perfect i actually have to set it at 16 degrees yes sixteen !!! the engine is not original and was bought froma salvage yard but definately a 301-- now the problem is when i set the timing so the car runs great it barely starts and vice versa---i have tried a happy compromise but really the cra runs like garbage set any lower then this---i am running it at 14 degrees right now--but if i go over 60 mph it starts up----------what is going on--how can i fix this---almost every part on the engine is new --distributor cap-plugs -wires-(they are not crossed)

Hi guys. I live in Cyprus and over here we drive on the left side (Steering wheel is on the right)

I recently bought some xenon headlights for my car over ebay. But after installing them my electrician told me that they are for left steering wheel cars.

I was told that its not a very big issue, only that i could be slighty blinding the opposite cars (not worse than having the big headlights on)

I was wondering if there is a trick or an easy mod to fix this. I cant be bothered to open an arguement wih the seller and also have to ship them back

Thanks

i have a 1990 buick regal , with a 3.1 v6 engine. up till last week everything was fine. and one morning the car would not start without me pushing on the gas pedal slightly when i started it. usaully the car starts on a dime in the morning and every other time. when the car gets going down the block i need to hold the gas down or it will stall, but when it gets wamed up, it goes away and won't stall. now even when the car is warmed up and i drive a couple of miles and stop the car and shut it down, it won't start again without me pushing on the gas pedal a little.??? what gives.

Car is a 1993 3.3L v-6 automatic with 240,000 miles and has been having problems starting for a few months. It will drive for 3-4 days then start running really rough and stalling out and then unable to start again for a few days. Now it will not start no matter what even with a jump. The battery is good had it tested and all the lights/radio come on in start position but when go to turn it over everything goes out instantly and it doesn't even try to turn over. Is it safe to assume my starter had been slowly dying and is now dead or should I look at the wiring, relays, solenoid first?

i owned a 1996 toyota avalon with 116,000 miles. i had a complete wheel alignment done at toyota 5 months ago due to the car pulling to the left. after getting it fixed it was fine. now the car goes to the left again when the steering wheel is held straight. i driven about less than 2,000 miles since the last alignment(5 months ago) and i try my best to avoid potholes and any bumps on the road. The tires are in good condition with the right air pressure. i rotated the tires about 1 year ago. i don't drive crazy or mess around in the car. any ideas what keep causing the car to pull to the left after only a short time?

i have 93 dodge dynasty and the breaks have started to squeak... this happens when i press them to slow down in traffic (though obviously it stops when the break pedal is all the way down) and then when i take my foot off the break and hit the gas, the squeaking will continue for a short while... is this a problem with the breaks or suspension or what? also is there an easy fix or how much will it cost? its an old car but i do need it to last me through the winter (with minimal money spent on it)

The store clerk was quick to show me how the pieces of brake line are connected, but he failed to show me how to bend the line or tell me what tool that is needed. I need to fit this to the banjo bolt at the left wheel and run it along to the right wheel.

Cadillac Deville 2004. The battery is under the seat and the hook ups are under the hood. Anyway, I left the car sit for about two weeks and it won't start. I hook up the jumper cables and another car and the radio turns on. The lights turn on inside the car before I hooked up the jumper cables. I try to start the car and it just clicks two times and that's it.

Any ideas?
