What do you mean by the HEATER has hazed the windshield? Is the core leaking coolant onto the glass? If that's the case get the leak fixed, then worry about cleaning the mess. If your talking about the haze that builds up, mostly on newer cars, just get a good FOAMING type glass cleaner and clean it off. The film is (if the later of the 2 scenarios) is caused by the formaldehyde curing from the vinyl products in your car. It takes YEARS for them to fully cure.

Flush the radiator fluid. I had the same problem in my car and the mechanics at my local shop said the fluid in the heater core can make the windows hazy.

THE FLUID IN YOUR HEATER CORE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. HOWEVER, THE FLUID LEAKING OUT OF YOUR HEATER CORE IS THE PROBLEM. HAVE THE COOLING SYSTEM PRESSURE CHECKED AND CHANGE THE HEATER CORE IF IT'S LEAKING.

Some window washers use isopropyl alcohol to wash windows, and newspaper (yes, newspaper!) to wipe the windows dry.
