i have 93 dodge dynasty and the breaks have started to squeak... this happens when i press them to slow down in traffic (though obviously it stops when the break pedal is all the way down) and then when i take my foot off the break and hit the gas, the squeaking will continue for a short while... is this a problem with the breaks or suspension or what? also is there an easy fix or how much will it cost? its an old car but i do need it to last me through the winter (with minimal money spent on it)

It is time for you to get a brake job. In many dodge cars, the brake pads fitted at the factory has a compound within the pad that causes it to squeal before the pad wears out totally. The squeal is a warning that you need to have a brake job done.

It's time to have your brake pads replaced. The squeaking noise is there to let you know that.

cheers.

time to have the breaks checked , you may be lucky and just have to replace the pads and not the rotors , the cost all depends on where in the world you are , and who does the job
