i have a 1990 buick regal , with a 3.1 v6 engine. up till last week everything was fine. and one morning the car would not start without me pushing on the gas pedal slightly when i started it. usaully the car starts on a dime in the morning and every other time. when the car gets going down the block i need to hold the gas down or it will stall, but when it gets wamed up, it goes away and won't stall. now even when the car is warmed up and i drive a couple of miles and stop the car and shut it down, it won't start again without me pushing on the gas pedal a little.??? what gives.

Maybe one of the folowing:
clogged fuel line
clogged fuel filter
dirty air filter
dirty breather filter(if you have one)
clogged pcv valve

Try a higher grade of gas. It may just clean the fuel lines out.

You probably need to clean your carburetor, change your spark plugs, change the fuel filter, or something like that. You need to look at your ignition system and your fuel system.

Try tracing the flow of your gas from the tank to find your fuel filter. Look at that first. After that, move to your spark plugs. The blacker the tips are the more that's a problem. Measure the gap to make sure it's the correct gap. Start the car with the spark plugs out and have someone check the spark coming from them. Look in the carburetor and clean it thoroughly.

Fuel filter is the safest bet.

You may have a fuel line clog or a gas filter clog.

Having to push that pedal must be terrible for you. Get a diagnostic and that will pinpoint the prop. Guessing won't do it.
