lacquer thinner if the clear coat is still good. It will not damage the clear. My leave a little hazy but you can clear that up with a little compound or wax. use on an inconspicuous spot first. if NO color comes off on the towel then you are probably good to try it on the sap. we use it all the time and it works well.

Hi there,just plain turpintine will work but this will also remove the car wax so you will need to reapply the car polish..
turps will not dissolve or damage auto paint so is great for removing tar grease and other oil and stains..Cheap to..
good luck go get scrubing.

I had a few spots of sap on my car which had gotten real hard. I picked them off by scratching with my fingernails.

Tar remover is supposed to work but it hasnt worked for me...good luck.
