Remove (or disconnect) the battery and put it on a trickle charger. Then when you come home, reconnect it and it will be like new.

Depends on age of car past problems with car and such.

I put two of my cars in storage every year and alls that I do is take the battery out. Now this is for 4 or so months out of the year so it is a little differant than 3 weeks.

But with that Putting the battery back in they start right out. The first couple years when the batteries were new I was too lazy to even take them out and even after the 4 months or so they started right up and drove themselves out of the storage unit.

This is sitting in a non heated unit in Michigan weathers from October untill usually the middle of March.

So you should be safe no matter what you do, but to be sure just bring the batter into your house if you want.

only three weeks it the worst you could have is a low battery after 3 weeks. if you are that concerned and you live somewhere where it is already having winter weather you could take the battery out and put in your basement near your oil burner to keep it warm (not to close) if you do this make sure it is sitting on a board do not sit on on a concrete floor. the other thing you could do if in a cold climate is to put in an oil heater. at the very least i would disconnect the battery terminals

Two choices, either put a trickle charger on it, or pull one of the battery leads, and rehook it up when you are ready to start it.

good luck.

just turn the engine off and forget about it, it will easily start in only 3 weeks.
