Hi guys. I live in Cyprus and over here we drive on the left side (Steering wheel is on the right)

I recently bought some xenon headlights for my car over ebay. But after installing them my electrician told me that they are for left steering wheel cars.

I was told that its not a very big issue, only that i could be slighty blinding the opposite cars (not worse than having the big headlights on)

I was wondering if there is a trick or an easy mod to fix this. I cant be bothered to open an arguement wih the seller and also have to ship them back

Thanks

I'm suprised that they would make it so the lights don't fit both types of cars, so contact your dealer to make sure what he's telling you is correct.

Then....

1) Shine your lights against a wall to see how they are positioned. You can walk in front of the car to it's right to see if you'd be blinded.

2) Adjust the car lights accordingly. There are screws on each sides of the lights to adjust the angle they are pointed at. Up, down, right, left. Screw the screws in or out until the desired angle is reached.

Whoever told you that is playing a joke on you. there is no side to headlights. I assume your headlight housings are made like American headlight housings. If so there is an adjustment on them. You can adjust the beam of light to be higher, lower and you can adjust it left and right. Just make sure that your headlights are adjusted properly.

The only reason I can think of for him telling you that would be to justify extra charges for "making them work" on your car. As long as they are aimed properly, which side the steering wheel is on doesn't make any difference.

Maybe an easy solution of changing lites from side to side? maybe only one lite at a time? use old one for on-coming traffic?
