I have a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire. The headlights on it are a joke. I would like to put in some better lights. I'm thinking halogens. Any idea what to do? What do I need? How hard is it? Are there instructions anywhere? Thanks

Your car already uses halogen bulbs. However, there's the "blue" halogens that will give off a crisper light. These are available at your local parts store. Anything above this (ie: HIDs) will require modifications to add to your vehicle. Try cleaning/buffing your lenses with 3Ms chemicals (also available at parts store).

Most of today's cars come w. Halogen bulbs. Looks like you had one of the older halogen bulbs (where they look like a dark tan.) Do not put the blue/white/ purple bulbs in your car. I had those put in a truck about a yr ago. The bulbs are too hot and burned out the socket and the wiring. It cost me a lot to get fixed. I traded trucks a week later lol. You can buy a pair of Quick silver, They are a bright Halogen bulb

As said, you already have halogens as standard bulbs so replacing them will make next to no difference. The xenon ones are not going to be much better as they are only a different colour and not much brighter.

I had the same problem with my sunfire it was a 2000 and I put newer brighter ones in and I still couldnt see decent so I sold it. Thought it was my eyes but I have no problems with my new car.
