It's a stock auto. 1990 Chevy Camaro Rs V8. He was just sitting at idle and then the car shut off as if he had pulled the key out(no wierd noises or anything), and then it would turnover but wouldn't start. All the wires are hooked up to the distributor, has gas in tank, fuel pump will do the 2 second prime, all fuses are good, air cleaner is good, if we put gas in the intake it will start but die after the gas is used, so we hooked the red test lead wire under the hood for the fuel pump to the positve terminal of the battery and could hear the pump running tried to start the car and the same thing happens turns over but won't start, so with the pump running I took off the air cleaner and twisted the throttle with hand and looked inside intake and could not see any gas what so ever going in. Could anything other than a clogged fuel filter cause this? Do you think it probly is the fuel filter?
