is it true that a busted radiator hose is one of your favs. Considering most people do not know the difference between a busted radiator and a busted hose, you tell them the radiator needs to be replaced and charge half a grand for something that costs a hundred?

is there any advice on tools I can use to get the tires/brake pads off, to where i can put the brake pad back on there? the brake pads are somewhat new, and are good, but the rotors are not. I havent done this myself yet, but I noticed a couple people had problems getting the brakes off-- as if they were stuck..any advice would be great.. I'll have pretty much any tool available to me..

It's a stock auto. 1990 Chevy Camaro Rs V8. He was just sitting at idle and then the car shut off as if he had pulled the key out(no wierd noises or anything), and then it would turnover but wouldn't start. All the wires are hooked up to the distributor, has gas in tank, fuel pump will do the 2 second prime, all fuses are good, air cleaner is good, if we put gas in the intake it will start but die after the gas is used, so we hooked the red test lead wire under the hood for the fuel pump to the positve terminal of the battery and could hear the pump running tried to start the car and the same thing happens turns over but won't start, so with the pump running I took off the air cleaner and twisted the throttle with hand and looked inside intake and could not see any gas what so ever going in. Could anything other than a clogged fuel filter cause this? Do you think it probly is the fuel filter?

My car 1997 Dodge Spirit runs fine, in spite of an oil leak, but it's started doing this - it dies on me sometimes if I sit in traffic too long. Also, when I first start it up, I need to rev the gas once either before or after I turn the key. Otherwise, it seems fine and I haven't had any problems with it on the freeway or if I'm driving at a steady pace on surface roads. I use the medium grade of gas at the pump. Any suggestions? Please help!

My current car (AWD Subaru) has new front tires and used rear tires. Why is this bad and what should be done about it? What if I do nothing?

I have a 2005 honda civic never had any problems with it has about 80k miles on it. I am noticing when I drive on the highway around 80 that I am feeling a vibration in the stearing wheel what is wrong with it

I heard somewhere that AWD is really just the front right tire and left back tire working giving you the benefit of front-rear-left-right tires. Is there any truth to that. The reason I ask is because I bought a new subaru and the front tires came new but the rear are a bit used. Wouldn't that skew things up?

After I took my car to the shop it sounds like a plane, the kind with properllers. I guess it could also sound like a high pitched puttering sound. Any ideas?

I had my 98 Mercury Tracer read and it said it was the o2 sensor since my check engine light went on. I replaced that today along with the plugs and the fuel filter. It idles great now, but it still lags on starting. It tries but doesn't catch, then starts on the second try. Do I need to wait a couple of days for sensor to take or could there be something else even if it didn't read a problem?

I checked it closer and noticed the cv boot on the driver side was torn and the noise was coming from the outer joint.. My question is . should I replace the whole shaft assembly on that side our a CV kit for the outer joint.. what is my best option for this project..

I'm just kind of confused. I took my car into a shop last Friday, the 14th, to get the head gasket repaired. I was told it would take about four days to get repaired, and here we are a week later and its still not fixed.

I'm almost tempted to tell the guy that I shouldn't have to pay full price for something that's taken him twice the length of time he said it would. I've called three times in the past two days, and he's basically said the same thing each time, that he's "waiting to get the head from the machine shop" and that he'll "call me when its done".

What would you people recommend in this situation??

I been checking my codes with the Auto Zone OBD scanner and I was told that it does not provide the exact codes for my 1999 Ford Explorer. I had oxygen sensors codes show up when I used the Autozone scanner and I've changed the sensors twice. Would anyone know which Check Engine light scanner is best for my 1999 Ford Explorer? Also, I've only found three sensors under my car two near the engine Bank 1 and bank 2. and the other before the Catalyst converter. I was not able to locate the fourth bank 1 oxygen sensor. can someone tell me where its at?

I turn the switch and nothing. Not even hot air comes out. I've checked the fuses & they are ok. Is it the relay switch or the replacement resistors. Am I screwed? Any suggestions would be helpful.
