No, it's not an issue yet. If America invades Iran, expect the price to double or more.

It's partly a matter of supply and demand. So much of the shortage is the fact that China is increasingly needing more and more oil.

That, and in the UK, the taxes, amount to the high petrol prices there. In the U.S., pardon me for saying this, but it's an oilman in the white house that has little regard for the common people in the U.S.

When oil in the U.S. was climbing sky high, President Clinton released oil from the Stratigic Oil Reserve, that forced the price down. But that was then and this is now.

It's an issue because of the necessity of petrol in today's society. Price fixing is all down to supply and demand. When we have solar powered cars then the price should come down.

It will become more of an issue when we run out.

The time is long past when we should have found an alternative.

Coal, gas and oil reserves were predicted to last another 30 years back in the 70s, so we must be getting low by now.

Not a problem. In relative terms it's cheaper than in the 1970's.

If you compare the inflation of currency and the price of other items. Gasoline is a bargain.

Using the word petrol I assume you are from the UK, where
Government tax is your biggest problem. The war in the middle east is certainly not helping!
