no it wont hurt the engine ,but it will use a lot more gas and eventually burn the rear brakes out on it,they will get hot enough to almost turn red if their too tight,you,ll also smell them,they get extremely hot.you,ll know it if they are,good luck.

It won't be a problem with the engine, but will cost in added fuel costs, brake shoe glazing and high temp to the drums that could cause a fire. If the shoes are that tight how did you get the drums on? Another problem with tight brakes is if you installed the wrong shoe either the rear to the front, there different sizes, and that could have been the problem if you just changed them. You can use a spoon adjuster to losen the adjusters so the wheel runs with any drag on the drum.

No, But it will ware the brakes our sooner and cause the brake pedal to be low and cause the e-brake to not hold properly, get them adjusted asap. Good Luck and God Bless

It won't damage your motor. It will damage your rear brakes.
