. My last two Toyotas had 240K and 210K miles on 'em. I drove them on 2,500 mile trips with NO problems.
Maintenance is the key.
Flush ALL the fluids; trannie, p.s. unit, brake lines, etc, on a regular basis and it's good for another 4 yrs.

I didn't know the water pump was a belt :)~
Along with the answers the others have given (most of them I agree with). . do you have any reason to believe this car won't make it??. . Toyotas go forever, if you keep replacing all that goes wrong with them. .
that said, it might be a bit of a risk if you haven't been driving this car regularly and thus know how reliable it is. If you just bought it from someone else, it may not be as reliable as it needs to be. .
I'd say take the trip, but only after you've driven the car for a few weeks and know how it performs (and maybe take it for a trip down to San Diego and back first, just to see how it takes prolonged use). .
Also, no one mentioned the tires. . make sure they're in good shape and that the spare is also in good shape, full of air, and the jack and all of its parts are there (in case you have to change a tire). . also, don't make the trip without a credit card or some cash handy, just in case you do have car trouble. .

You should inspect the brake linings, the fluid levels in the radiator, rear end and transmission, and master brake reservoir, the lights (Head, turn and brake), the cd player to make sure you have tunes, inspect the tires, the front ball joints, change the air cleaner, check the hoses, look for any oil leaks underneath, replace the wind shield wipers, change the oil, wash the car (it's more areodynamic), check/replace the fuel filter, gat a TOM-TOM so you don't get lost and prepare to have FUN.
OR just get in, turn it on and go...if it breaks down along the way fit it. More risky but more spontaneous.

do an oil change on it also, and make sure the spare tire is aired up good, and check all the fluid levels in it, if this one is in really good shape it should make the trip with no problems you might want to check the timing belt also, good luck on the trip.

Distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires, oil, trans. fluid, brake fluid, flush radiator. Just give it a good tune up and it should be fine.

hmm my first guess whould have been motor mount. is your check engine light on? casue if it is then it could possibly be a misfire in one or all of your cylinders....there is a number of things that it could be though. if you have put more than 1 thousand in it i would suggest taking it to mechanic to see what diagnosis is and then find one you trust and have them repair it if it is something you cant do yourself....
