In my car's manual it says never try to shift from D to R when vehicle is moving; that it will ruin the transmission. But what about R to D? When reversing my car, I always come to a full stop before shifting to DRIVE.

I was told that acidtone helps your car combust the gas easier. But just a few Ounces to a full tank. Is this true. If not, what could happen

when I cut the old prong off and exposed the wires, i am not sure which color goes where. There is a green, black and white wire. Is the white the ground? And the terminals for the other wires are one gold and one silver does it matter which one goes where once the ground wire is attached?

I don't want to mess up my new car but I feel like I should wax it because the paint seems a bit soft and maybe it will scratch less. Hopefully it will help a bit.

I have a 2006 Mitsubishi Galant and when i accelerate the BRAKE light comes on indicating that the E-brake is engaged when it is not. Also, I'm looking to get rims on my car. Any suggestions for where to get cheap but nice rims? And how do i measure what size rims will fit on my tires?

Hi, I noticed that one of my rims has a bit of a dent in it.

Someone told me i could buy a new rim at an auto wrecker.
I don't know what to ask for. Do I tell the guy the model of the car, or would I just need the tire size?

2002 Ford Focus San Diego, California. There's a clicking and internet research says CV joint. Auto repair fraud is rampant in this city, I've never had a good auto repair experience. Does anyone know how much I should be charged for this repair so I am at least not financially shafted yet again? And how long it should take, so I can try and budget for the lost wages? Is the internet research true that it would be faster and cheaper to just have a new axle put in? Thanks!

Before you say it, I know I should bring it in for diagnosis first, but in this city that's playing roulette. You spend a big diagnosis fee and lost wages for nothing more than a guess at best or a sales pitch at worst, usually accompanied by scare tactics and stalling. No one I know has found a satisfactory place yet. I used to just visit different shops to confirm/check diagnoses and ended up with a different diagnosis from every shop. Here you have no choice but to throw money at parts and hope for the best.

What are the most common causes of a lean air/fuel mixture in a fuel injected vehicle? 94 Celica with erratic idle and stall issues.

(Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, distributer, rotor, cap, coil, fuel pressure reg, ECM, and more.)

P.S. please don't say go to a professional... tried that and I am $1,500 more broke than I started and no further with the issue.....

Thanks for any advice.

Went for an oil change and they told me my oil pan gasket is leaking. How much would this type of repair generally cost?

What is the cheapest method of getting it fxed.

I'm sure I've seen stuff that you can just add to your oil to stop leaks, or am I wrong??
