For information on using acetone as a mileage booster, go to
www.lubedev.com/smartgas
I am testing with acetone in a 81 mercedes 240 diesel and have seen the mileage increase from 28.5 to 36 MPG. The only thing I have done besides adding the acetone was to adjust the engine timing. The 36 MPG came when the average speed was around 45 MPH which is my normal driving to and from work. At 55-60 MPH it drops to 33 MPG. I have not had a chance to test with my wifes 96 blazer, but one friend at work has used acetone and reported a 2 MPG increase consistantly in an Acura. Best advise I can give is the go to the website and read the info there and make your own conclusion through testing. The amount of acetone used per gallon is so small there is no way it can cause harm to the engine. You must use 100% acteone though, which I've had no problem finding at advance auto parts stores.

you don't want to run acetone in it,you,ll wind up having injector problems with it,add gas treatment to it ,but not acetone,it has a percentage of water in it,you don't need that in the engine, good luck on it.
