you cant mount a motor sideways . so it would have to be belt driven. and if its a go kart frame the motor probally mounts in the back . riding lawnmowers have the motor in front so they have have enough belt length to twist the belt from horizontal to vertical. it would be tricky and probably not worth the time and work to do it. but it can be done.

depends a lot on what exactly you have to work with and if you have a set parameter status.

You can install a transaxle from a lawn tractor. But it will take a lot of modification.

Make a motor mount to change poaitions.but you
hafto remove the gas tank.and put one above the
motor.
