Car we think had rolled onto it side as it has minor damage down the passenger side. Cars starts fine, seems fine if you don't touch the steering. Can't figure out why the wheel shakes so much when the steering wheel is turned.

It makes scurrying noises when we get in the car to use it and especially when we turn the fan on. I'm afraid it's going to jump out onto us as we're traveling 65 mph!

The air in our 1999 Grand Am has not worked since we bought it last fall. We went to Advance Auto to get the refill kit, and a representative there came out to help us with it. When he attached the kit with a gause, it showed that the car was already full. He "said" that we would just need to have it cleaned out, then it could be refilled again.

I am leary about trusting advice from someone that is not mechanic, but I am also afraid to take it to a mechanic because I am female- and yada yada yada....

Anyway- from you mechanics out there- should I be prepared for something more serious, like a faulty clutch, or switch, etc?

I do not believe it would be a leak- or the gauge wouldn't show it as full- am I right or wrong??

Any ideas on what the problem might be? Thanks so much!

We cleaned up the old go-karts yesterday. They ran only for a few minutes while we did a test run just before dark.

Then, this morning, on the first pull we hear a clank, and it was a BIG sound. We continued to pull it and it still had compression and no strange noise for about 10 pulls, and then compression was gone. We felt air coming out of the carb so we knew it was a valve problem. We got in there, and sure enough it was. After some cleaning and lubricating the valve came closed. We turned over the engine and watched as the valve was pushed open and CLANK! Again, it was stuck open.

Heres me question, why would the valve be stuck so bad? The sound is clearly caused by the MOVEMENT of the valve, and not something breaking.

What "kind" of stuck is this?

I just had a new radiator installed into my Grandfathers car and noticed there was no coolant in the container by the engine. Does there need to be coolant even if it's a new radiator?

Our fan will not go on when cars temp starts rising we thought it was a sensor on the bottom of the engine but everyone told us that they quit making it, so we ran a wire with a toggle to manually turn on/off the fan, however we can not keep running it like that, any advice on what it is or what sensors/ switches we should look into? Or can someone lead me in the right direction.

I know rubbing compound can work for scratches on the metal parts like doors and hoods, but im not sure that would work on plastic. I know i probably cant get the physical scratches themselves out, but right now they are a lighter color because of the exposed unpainted plastic

I have a 94' ford tempo, i am experiencing the car shutting off while im driving. I had someone check it out for me and he told me it could be the fuel pump, someone else told me to put it on the machine to find out if its that. sometime the car shuts off while driving, i would pull over, wait about 15 minutes then it would start again, what is wrong with my car?
