I have a 98 buick and just noticed a steering problem when I turn to the right. when I turn right its like it loses its power steering ability and i really have to fight to get it to turn. it does not however do this on my left side -

what could b wrong?

rack and pinion is bad or you have air pocket.

A few parts in your steering system need IMMEDIATE attention. This will NOT fix itself.
Possible actions:
1) a broken Drive shaft (Constant Velocity Joint) will kill your power to half of the front wheel drive.
2) steering connection damage

Have you checked the power steering reservoir? You might just be low on fluid. If you're not sure where it's located, stop at a full-service gas station or a repair shop.

it sounds like a rack and pinion u will need
