i have a car and this and the back windo got brocken out and we had 4 days untill are pay check so stupidly my sister told me to duct tape some plastic on it until we got it fixed but now i cant get get the stickey stuff off and yes sadly i live in alabama lol !!! so i need some help how do i get the stickey off my car?

Hey guys I am trying to figure out why fuel is being dumped into my cylinders? I am not sure if it just running wwaaayyyyy rich or what. I have changed the Fuel Pressure Regulator, and took a multimeter an tested the TPS an O2 sensor and Coolant temp sensor all which tested fine. If you change to dry plugs it will fire back up, drive fine, you can turn it off and back on no problem. Twice it has died while pulling into the drive but starts right back up. However if you let it sit for a day or two it wont start and the plugs are soaked what gives?

or maybe a fuze is out im not sure..

when i turn on my headlights at night..the inside lights up at the same time...but all of a sudden...it doesnt? the outside lights still go on...but theres nothing on the inside of the car...which makes it difficult to drive at night to say the least. any suggestions?

Back in 2000 when I was 21 years old after just I blew my entire savings of $11,000, I knew I made a horrible mistake.

If I had to go through that time and so forth all over again physically being 21 again but knowing everything I know now at 28 and as my family around me advised that I should get that 1998 white Camaro with 24K miles because it's reliable, I would DEFINTIELY laugh in their faces now and tell them they've gotta be out of their God-damn minds and must think I'm an indiot if I'm gonna just blow my enitre savings of $11,000 away. I would ask them what the hell I'm doing on these new car lots and have them take me to a private seller and get a car for as cheap as $3000, keep $1,000 for tools and repairs, have fun with $1,000 on beer, strip clubs, EBAY, etc., and keep $6,000 in my bank and not even touch it.




That's what I would've done had I known what I know now.
What would you think of my decision had I done that?

Just asking as I got a new vauxhall and the paint marks really easily compared to other cars I have had in the past.
I was told that waterbased paints are being used now and I am not sure if this could be my problem.

I would be driving and the handbrake light will come on and i will slow down not very fast thought like the hand brake is engaged and it will be hard to push in the brake as if the cars off and its hard to push the brake in. then the power steering will stop working. Then i stop put it in park and shut it off and turn it back on and everything is fine again. anyone no wut this is?

My radiator keeps coming up with leaks. I put in stop leak and now there are more. Should I put in more stop leak or try to get a new radiator? Why does it keep having leaks? What should I do to get it fixed?

I have an AWD car and I had left it in gear and with parking brake on and car locked. It was legally parked, but the apartment complex was doing some work and so they towed it about 0.25 miles. I saw no flatbed for the truck, just regular tow truck. When I found it, the car was parked facing into the spot where they left it. I could not get the key into the ignition. I had to put the car in neutral and let it roll a bit to 'unlock' the ignition. Then it started and it drove. But I'm afraid they damaged the car. What kind of damage should I look for and what should I do???

I reset my truck's timing by finding TDC of the compression stroke of cylinder 1 by following the instructions of a GM tech on Yahoo answers. By following his instructions I was able to start my engine easier (it barely cranks before starting) and my engine runs smoother. However, when I put a timing light to it, it shows Cylinder 1 as firing a whole second before the line hits TDC. I made sure with a piece of yarn that the V matched up with the TDC mark. But I figured I may have made a mistake, so I moved the harmonic balancer's mark in line with the V on the timing plate cover again and I took off the cap of the distributor and it was 180 degrees off. It was pointing towards terminal 5 instead of terminal 1 like it was suppose to. So I figured I made a mistake, aligned the rotor back with one, put everything back together and it started fine and ran smoothly, but it still fired 1 second before the line hit the V. I took it apart and it was 180 out again.

What type of sound will it make if the starter is bad ?? and what type of sound if the alternator is bad ?? I need to have an idea, before having my car towed to a shop, when I turn the key, I hear a rapid click or rattle sound, and the car wont crank

I have a 1993 Dodge Sprite, 4 cyclinder automatic transmission, around 140,000 miles. I was driving the car today and noticed it started making a whining sound whenever I press the accelerator.

It's hard to describe the sound, but the best thing I can say is it sounds something like the old electric RC cars that I played with as a kid. It gets louder the harder the accelerator is the pushed.

It doesn't seem to be a wheel noise or anything. Because the car will do it if I have it stopped and in park or neutrel and I press the accelerator.

I don't know much about cars. So I checked the fluid levels, transmissions fluid was really low, oil was low. I topped those both off. But I still have the noise.

I am replacing the car soon anyways. But I want to drive it as long as I can (I've had it for years and am attached) any ideas?

Citroen Saxo.... yesterday battery ran flat( car been running ok till then) Had battery on charge overnight, back on car, started first go..... gone out for a good run round ( about 10 miles) on way back things like speedo, wipers, power steering playing up now car stopped & wont start again! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ....... whats wrong with it? Someone suggested the condensor.....what does this do? Dont want a big garage bill if I can sort it myself.....H E L P P L E A S E!
