my car had some scratches. is it covered by insurance? i've never been into an accident. just wanted to refresh my old car , same color as it is.

if you are trying to sell it you can get a maaco paintjob for about 3-500 dollars but it wont last too much more than a year. Or you can go to a paint and body shop and get a good job done for about 1000 dollars, since you arent changing the color it shouldnt be too high. The term you get what you pay for comes in mind here.

You didn't give enough information for a good answer. Was it in an accident? If it is covered by insurance, then it doesn't matter, if they say they will repaint it.
The costs can vary greatly. From around a 1000 up to 10 or 15 for a custom graphic show quality paint job.

no it's not covered by insurance unless you were in a wreck or had vandalism done to the car, paint jobs vary from cheap jobs of $300. to great paint jobs at $10,000, just go get some estimates.
