Your headlight switch controls your parking lights, headlights, dome lights, dash lights. radio backlights, cig back light. So the common of your problem is your headlight switch. Different fuses for different problems

If your lights are coming on each time then going off, it is probably your switch. The one you physically turn the lights on/off with. If they are off now always check your tail lights to see if they are off too yes= fuse.

Check to make sure that you don't have a faulty brake light/tail light.
If you don't have any brake lights, you wont have any dash lights.
I assume when you say you have no lights inside, you mean dash lights.
Also might check your light switch, they are one in the same

I would check your headlight switch. Sounds like it probably isn,t working like it should. But like you said check your fuses first before replacing the switch.

It is either a wiring problem or you have a bad light switch.
