i can hear the grinding and i can feel it through the pedal, very bad. the pedal pulses slowly, maybe a 1/2 inch up and down. only about once a second, not fast like i think they are supposed to work. my rotors and pads are good. no warning light on. this happens every time they kick in. it makes it even harder for me to stop. maybe dirty sensor?????

Hey guys i got a 2001 jeep grand cherokee laredo i recently noticed smoke comming from all the air vents its not hot smoke nor does it smell like anything burned what could it be? any ideas? all my windows get all fogged up cuz of that smoke help me out please!!

I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima with almost 93,000 miles. When I first start the car, there is a small squeak lasting only a second or two. If I turn the heat on, it makes a very loud sound (not a squeak, more like a rattling sound) but if I turn the heat off, it makes no noise; the car sounds normal. I had the serpentine belt replaced in September or October of 2005. No other work (other than oil changes) has been done since then. Like I said before, it only makes the loud rattling sound when the heat is on. Please help. Will my car break down on me?

I was driving this morning to the gas station and I would have to push my brake all the way to the floor befor my car would stop. They have never actd this way before, also when I start my car up the brake light comes on. I know the emergency brake is not on.

How can I reach the spark plugs best? Take off the dog house? From the wheel wells? I have 95k miles on it, had it since 60k miles so I dont' know what's been done previously but should I also change the distributor cap at the same time or is that not necessary?

when the weather temperature drops the engine would crank but the van woud not start up.
my mechinic suspected and changed the fuel pump.The problem persisted. we did complete tune up, the problem would not go away even when we jump started
I even used starter fluid, it still would not start. My bartery is relatively new. What could the problem be?

my trunk wont shut. i have a 2004 cavalier. theres nothing blocking it from shutting but it looks like latch its supposed to secure to is out of reach for some reason. any ideas on how to go about fixing this?

My inlaws own a 1996 Dodge Caravan that is stalling in drive, but will staying running in reverse. The problem started a few months ago , but has gotten more frequent. When it stalls they are able to wait a few minutes and it will start back up, but I think that the wait time is getting longer.
Any ideas? Thanks!

I live in Cnaada and i own a 1993 Nissan Sentra Classic. After visitng the mechanic for a brake issues I've discovered when trying to pullback on the lever for wiper washer fluid, there is no fluid being sprayed onto my windshield. The wipers go into motion but no fluid is sprayed.

Normally when their is no fluid left in the reservoir their still is an audible tone of the pump trying to spray something but in this case there isnt any audible sound whatsoever. I checked the 20A fuse for the labeled Wiper Washer and it appears to be fine.

Im now thinking the mechanic detached something for the wiper fluid pump. I could go back into the mechanics but was hoping for some DIY quick fix. The reservoir is full with fluid and the spray nozzles have been cleaned out. My main car battery seems fine. Im strongly thinking the prob is with the pump. Can someone direct me on how to inspect this area to make sure everything is attached correctly.

Without warning, engine failed upon atempt to start, Serviced @3000 miles entire life of car, purchased new.

No previous problems of any kind.

66,500 miles on vehicle.

Engine is being replaced -

How could this have been prevented?

Should service provider have detected problem in advance?
