I've done this job on an '89. All you need are some basic hand tools and your patience. I did this job in an hour; but it might take you longer. The engine has to be completely cool. Drain the antifreeze into a pan and save it unless it's in bad shape. Take off the lower radiator hose first and install the new one. Same with the upper radiator hose and the heater hoses. Replace with new clamps and tighten them down. Fill it with coolant, replace the radiator cap, run the engine turn the heater on and check for leaks.

The reason for turning on the heater is to make sure that the coolant has actually reached the heater core.

i might suspect the two a small leak or a foul cap. I doubt if it truly is the heater middle, by using fact it basically got here approximately interior the summertime. The water replaced into probable condensation from the A/C. (brought about by ability of a clogged drain line) replace the cap fist and notice if that forestalls the priority.

It's pretty basic.
A little messy with the anti-freeze, the hose clamps can be a bugger to get to sometimes, and re-routing the belt can get tricky if you didn't pay attention to how it cam off.

But a few simple tools, and a couple beers, you'll do fine.

Make things easy. Take off the grill first, then radiatior shroud. Possibly even the radiator itself. Some long extensions will come in mighty handy.
