the smoke comes out of the tail pipe, not the engine

i own a repair shop,and its probably running too rich on fuel and that will cause this to happen,if it sat any over winter and has old gas in it that will also cause it,but you may wind up needing some tune up work done on it also,but its nothing major its probably black smoke that's coming from it,just tune it up really good and it should be alright ,good luck with it i hope this helps.

stop putting two stroke oil in the gas! lol just kidding. maybe it sat for a while. try running fresh gas even super unleaded for a while and flush everything out. could be overfilled with oil to, check the level, if high, drain some out and replace your spark plug(s) to.

Did someone put diesel in it by accident?

Dip a stick or something into the fuel tank and see if it completely evaporates from the stick or feels oily.
