The same exact thing just happened to me, except opposite The front blew hot, but the back only blew cold. If you have a newer car (mine is a 99 Ford Windstar) there is a little door inside that switches the cold air to hot air when you slide the thingy. It used to be that they were manual doors, however nowadays when you slide the switch a computer tells the door to electronically move.

So you have to take it somewhere they will hook it up to a computer and find out if it is the computer, or the little motor, or what. The only other way to tell or manually move it yourself or look at it is to take the whole dashboard off.

The mechanic told me that car companys make everything electronic and run by a computer on purpose so that if something goes wrong, it can only be fixed by one of the company's special diagnostic machines.

Anway, they fixed it and now it works great.
