I had a new exhuast fited yesterday and the car was OK, last night I reset the warning codes and she ticked over spot on, I also took the connections off the MAF, coil and manifold Lambda sensor and gave them a clean and a skirt of WD-40 today the car is running really bad, no acceleration, juddering and engine does not want to go past 3500 rpm,

help please :o)

I have a 1993 chevy lummina, and the car stalls out when the engine is warm and I hit the brakes to stop. This started when I put in a new battery. The problem kept happening and they installed a fuel filter. What could be the problem.

I'll explain our situation:

Last weekend, my husband's 2004 Chevy Aveo broke down [AGAIN]. His timing belt broke. The same thing happened last year; we had it replaced, as well as several valves. The repairs cost us $2500. So far they have estimated new charges of $1800 to repair the belt, and they will not know if there is valve damage until they start the project, in which case it will cost $6-800 more.

We want to get rid of this car. The problem is - we still owe $5300 on it *SIGH*

Would it be best to get the car repaired and then trade it in (worth approx $4000) for a trade in? Or should we just trade the car in now while it is not running, and get only $500 for it?

We are planning to buy a new car (so we will have a warrenty), but have not decided which one yet.

Please ... what do you recommend?

I just bought a brand new chevy express cargo van for my company and I really like the car. I am worried that the way I drive may hurt the car under the hood. I usually make deliveries of my product to locations that are about 1 mile to 3 miles apart from eachother, than about half hour to hour and a half driving to get from one city to the next. My question is (hopefully a mechanic answers), I usually park my car, unload for about 10 minutes than get in, turn the car on and put it in gear and get to my next location which is just less than a minute away, and do that like, 10 times? in a day. Will that hurt my car? are there any special maintenance issues I should be aware of?

I just recently applied and had an interview for a car detailing position at a Chevy dealership. I just want to know if that job is hard? Its $8 an hour and im still in high school. when i try to turn a corner or park my vehicle my driver side front tire makes a grinding sound and while doing that it slows down the vehicle then i have to apply more on the gas. a u-joint problem possibly???

DPFE sensor high voltage....mean the sensor is bad? and what would my car start doing if it was bad? 2001 focus. right now it has random misfires on 3 cylinders and at 3000 rpms driving engine loses power dramatically. And with hood popped i smell gas bad but i dont have a leak anywhere. new plugs, wires and coil. help me plz been working at this for 2 weeks and finally the code shows up today.

Trying to get my a/c fixed and have a leak and they want me to get a compressor along with other parts = $800 (those other parts are for a 12month warranty). Is there any better deal out there than $800??? Just the compressor alone is $400 + $75 to install it. I have a 2000 pontiac sunfire. Should I get jut the compressor or all 3 pars (i forgot what the other 2 are). It costs too much and I rather suffer this summer. and I dont really ned those other 2 but they are trying to sell it to me "just in case something happens withint he 12 months."
