check the owner's manual. there's a certain button to hold down or pedal to push that will deactivate the light.

You mean you want to reset the maintanence lite? If so, just hold in the trip meter button and then turn the power on to the ignition key, the lite will blink a few seconds and then go out. restart the engine and it should stay off, if not , repeat the procedure. Check the operators manual if this does not work on your car.

You'll need a screwdriver and a hammer. Take the screwdriver and lightly touch the change oil light. While holding the screwdriver in place hit it hard with the hammer, breaking the "idiot light" so that you'll never have to worry about it again!

The light should go out after a while. The car needs to run a few test on its system to make sure everything is good. After it runs the tests, it should go out. If that don't work then check with a dealer and they should be able to rest it for you, or at least know what you need to do for it to go out.

Go to a dealer and ask them. They will tell you that you'll have to short 2 pins together on the osbd connector....
