when i put the truck into 4wd, from the little buttons on the side of steering wheel, i thought the 4wd symbol on the actual dashboard is supposed to light up.? i called dealer and they said there is not light for that on dashboard, but yet there is a symbol on the dashboard and owners manual states that too. any ideas would be helpful.

I've changed the bulbs, I've changed the fuses- the fuse panel inside the car not the maxi fuses under the hood. Still- the turns signals sometimes work and sometimes they don't. So can someone please help me find a way I can fix this myself? I know I can take it in and have it fixed and what not but I'm sure there is an easy way I can do this myself without spending that much money right? Can someone please let me know how I would go about fixing this myself? Is it an easy thing? Thanks

My extended warranty insurer claims this is corrosion (on a vehicle with 60,000 miles). The dealer disagrees. If you have knowledge of this problem, especially in Passats, please comment. I am particularly interested in the prevalence of this problem and whether it is considered a corrosion problem or a design defect problem.

94 Chevy Silverado Z-71 5 speed

New Clutch, New Master Cylinder, New Slave Cylinder
Ok after bleeding the lines, the clutch works excellent for about half an hour, real smooth and soft. then after about half an hour it stops disengaging smooth and it gets real rough to the point were you can't shift from first or reverse.

I have been hearing this ticking/knocking noise in my 96 s10 v6 blazer, I have seen several mechanics, have of them say its the rod bent or something, causing the lifter to tick, others say its just the lifter, i'm to cheap for a noise diagnose test, so is there a way of telling which one it is?

Make of car VW Jetta GLS
140 000 kms
I had two burn out on me in the last 3 years ......I think it's going again. same symtoms. It's a real pain and costs a bunch. It seems to be ok now but I know it's going the light went out and I'm not smelling the fumes but I know it's just a matter of time before it blows again. I did put a bit too much oil in the other day. Maybe it was just too full. I tend to burn about a quart every 2000 k or so maybe less I'm not sure.......thanks

Hello all
I have a 89 Honda CRX DX, - recently had the timing done by a mechanic. But after the fact i noticed that the acceleration, in the 0~3000rpm range is now very poor. (when reved over 3k rpm its fine) It is very sluggish from a stop, so much so that I am avoiding entering the freeways since its so slow to get up to speed. Also the battery on my car was dead (now replaced) and now suspecting that the poor acceleration may be a bad alternator? Can a failing alternator cause this? or is it the cause of a bad mechanic? or something else...

The car has 180,000 miles and has stalled 4 times. There are no engine codes. It has had the timing belt and tensioner replaced twice, has a new fuel pump and filter, good plugs and ingition wires, a new cap and roter. It is not running hot and has a good idle. The mechanic cannot get it to stall. He cleaned the throatle body. Can you think of anything else that could cause the stall. The coil or emissions?

Thanks

My friend wants to sell me his old 91 Mazda 323 which is still in pretty good condition except that the automatic seatbelt mechanism on both sides are broken. They're completely loose so they would offer 0 protection on a collision. How much would it cost me to replace or fix them? The car will only cost me $400 bucks, so I wouldn't mind spending some money on safety.
