Did you already determine the size you need? When you buy the kit it will have directions in it,follow them.Basically what you do is this--Using the CORRECT drill bit, drill into the bad threads.2-Using the TAP supplied with the kit,you tap the hole.3 - Put a small amount of locktite on the outer threads of the INSERT (helicoil) and using the INSERT tool (supplied with the kit) thread the new insert into the hole. I cannot stress enough the importance of using the EXACT drill that they call for,and follow the directions to a 'T' . GOOD LUCK.

Clean off the area with a cloth, make sure its clear of all little bits of metal.

The HeliCoil kit should have a bit for cutting new threads, use this on the hole. It will cut the new threads into the stripped sides. Go slow and be careful to keep it straight.

Again, make sure it is clean and clear of any little shavings and such.

You should have an assortment of coils and different langths, find the one that is the right heights for how thick the head is.

Use the other bit the kit should have, will look like a bolt, thread the coil onto it and use it to thread the coil intot he new threads you just cut.

Gently unscrew the bit leaving the coil in the new threads.

Screw new spark plug in like normal

If desired, use lock tight on the coil when inserting

basicly, you have cut the hole larger and used that coild to fit the new threads, the inside of that coild will now act as your threads for your spark plug. Hope this helps Good luck

First drill out old threads with proper sized bit then cut new threads with helicoil tap put helicoil on installing tool and screw it in to the proper depth some people put Locktite on before installing. The main thing to remember is to keep your drill straight.
