I have a 1994 Nissan Maxima, and noticed today that the drivers side headlight was on. Now I know that there is some issue with the headlights burning out, but this is not the case. When the headlights are turned on both lights come on bright with no problem, but when turned off or to the running lights the driver's side light stays on dimly. I tried switching the lights on and off a few times and also playing with a few other electrical switches and such to see if there was a change.
Any thoughts?

Last week, at a different garage, while having my transmission drained & purged I was told that the front strut mounts need to be replaced. Should this have been done when the new struts were installed? How serious is this? I take very good care of my car but I am in a money crunch right now. All and any advice is greatfully accepted!

Hi! I have a 2000 Z28 with an Automatic. I'd like to know how to figure out what could be making this Rattling/Knocking noise in my Rear Differential. Its a Posi-Trac (Limited-Slip), and it makes this noise when I make Turns, and sometimes when I let-off the Throttle. I know that this Noise is not normal.

I have put my Z28 on Jack-Stands, and turned the Rear Wheels. I found that if I Jerk either of the Rear Wheels back & forth, I can make this Knocking/Rattle noise.

I changed the Rear-End Fluid last Fall. It made this noise before & after I changed the Fluid.

My windshield wipers work normal while operating, but when turned to the "off " position the stop in the up, vertical, position. This started when snow was under the wipers and they could not go down when I turned them off. Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it or what parts if any are needed.

I'm not a mechanic but .... it looks like my 1985 camaro ( 6 cyl ) engine is leaking at the manifold .... where it connects to the exhaust system.....

Can this be fixed by just taking off the two bolts and slipping in a new gasket ? DOes the piping have to be disassembled or can you seperate it enough to get a new gasket in there ????

I just recently bought a used 99 grand am, when I decided to check the fluids I notice the coolant was low and since I did not know which one to put and after reading the manual I thought Dex-cool was the green one and I end up getting 50/50 something, but it was green. After doing some research on the internet I found out the Dex-cool is actually the orange, but I also found out it damages your car and I guess there's a lawsuit pending, to make matters worse my car is starting to overheat (keep in mind I live in Arizona), so I don't know if I should continue using the green or switch to the orange. It doesn't overheat too bad.....Yet.
