You can always go for more sound. But you have to have the tone to it as well. A good combination is flowmaster with larger tips added to the end EX.....10" in length with 3.5" in diameter are very common tips. Also adds a more distinctive look. Make sure it doesn't have Cat. converters as well-you can have those cleaned out. The bad thing about glasspacks are the after affects. Cracking sounds, unless you like them. Flowmaster does have one more upgrade for exhaust than the 40 series...might want to try them out

Depends on how many tickets you want and if you want to pass your SMOG inspection. yes noise level is part of air pollution. for really loud remove the flow-master and replace with a glass pack or cherry bomb as you refereed. then brace yourself for a ticket.
