is there a certain amount of time suggested before i wash and wax??

you need to wait around 2 weeks any way and let it all cure out,before doing any thing to it,after that you can wash and wax it,good luck with it.

Wash it anytime -- probably hold off with the wax for about a week (providing it was finished with a urethane paint -- which most ALL repairers use now days).

Dependant upon what kind of paint lacquer or enamel it can need up to six months to 'cure' (harden) properly.

Best wait a speck before you try.

Did you ask the paint shop that did the job?

P.S. did the paint shop pre-cure (dry) it in a hot room? as if they did it is less time.
