When i be going at highway speeds like 45 to 55 mph and the engine surges and even when im going 35mph

it probably is either the spark plugs and or wires, or you might have something wrong some where in your fuel system, like an in line fuel filter. try checking those

i own a repair shop,and the most common cause i have seen on these is a bad fuel filter or a faulty tps sensor,and also a bad 0-2 sensor will cause this to happen a lot,id take it auto zone and let them scan it to see what trouble codes it had,this will tell you if its one of the sensors bad on it,good luck,i hope this helps.

COULD BE A FEW THINGS A BAD T.P.S ARE A BAD FUEL PUMP IF CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON TAKE TO AUTOZONE TO GET CHECKED THIS IS FREE OF CHARGE MOST LIKLEY A FUEL PUMP PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!
