To the gentleman that said the car manufacturers work with the tire companys! The major car company's do not give two you know what about what kind of tires go on their vehicles. They want the cheapest tire possible. Its all based upon cost. Trust me, I sold these things, I asked questions, I got the same answer everytime from managers, distributors. Also the 40k i got off my tires, those are factory, and I baby my Jeep. Every other tire in the country can probably get about 70k on their tires given the same situation. I've seen your picture, you are like 80 years old and you're talking to a bunch of teens and twenty year olds, find another hobby you pervert.

Manufacturers put a specific tire pressure for their vehicle. May I include that manufacturers do not check or care about the tire that they put on their vehicles. They have a contract with that company for that vehicle. The tires themselves are rated by the company their made from, not the vehicle they are going to go on. I sold Jeeps for 3 years, and am a Jeep owner. It does not matter about the vehicle, it matters about the tire. I will also add that a major tire company that starts with G and ends in R is a very bad choice for the Jeep Wrangler. I've put only 40 K on this set and they have no tread left. You morons that believe that tire pressure is set by the car company's recommendations.....your wrong it's set by the tire company.

1995 toyota 4 runner, rebuilt engine with 67,000 mi. car losing coolant getting hot. took to shop they replaced thermostat, housing, couple of hoses. put back together then decided my water pump needed replacing. now got new timing belt water pump. now my heater only blows hot air in the back seat not front seat. why? does this have to do with the work that was done?

Engine is a v8, no cats, and still has the factory exhaust manifolds. Higher mileage engine, newer plugs/wires, yet the exhaust manifolds burn red hot.`The engine sputters just a small bit and has roughly 90000 miles on it. It was also well maintained and has never been over abused.
Why is this? Please give a detailed answer, and thank you very much.

I have an '83 Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham. The engine is believed to be out of an early to mid 70's Delta 88 (350, 4bbl). I was driving to work on a road with a 50MPH speed limit, but I couldn't get the car to do even 45. When I pulled into the parking lot where I work, the car died. I was able to get it running again long enough to get near a parking space before it died again. I had to get a couple of co-workers to help me put into a parking space.

The mechanic across the street from where I live thinks this is a fuel line problem. I can start the car and in Park or Neutral the engine will run if I keep giving it gas. If I try to put it in any gear, the car might get me a few blocks. While watching the engine idling with the hood up, the engine shook quite a bit. When putting the car into gear, the whole car shakes to where things in the trunk jump around. I pulled out the fuel filter to make sure the engine was getting enough gas, no improvement noticed. Wassup?

I am replacing the stock coil with a Jacobs ultra coil and I cannot tell for certain from the four wires how I should hook them up to the new coil which only has a negative and a positive terminal. There are two smaller gauge wires that come from the distributor. One is red, the other is white. The other two wires come from the wiring harness and are larger in gauge. Again one is white and the other is red. I have looked at the wiring schematic in the Chilton manual but it’s very little help. I am also installing a Jacobs FC 1000. Has anyone had experience installing these especially the coil? Thanks for any information.

I live in central Texas and we dont have to worry about automotive rust. But I am thinking of moving up north, maybe Colorado, where it would be a concern. I know you can rust proof your car, but how much does it typically cost? Is it easy to find a place that will do it for me?

I own a 3 month old car with only a1600 miles on it. Recently the engine got overheated and completely broke down as a result of a manufacturers defect on its fan. Now the whole engine block is being overhauled by the manufacturers agent. How does this affect the value of my car?
