Engine size will determine EGR valve location. If you have a S10 blazer with the 4.3L v6, then the liner EGR valve will be located between the alternator and the A/C compressor on the intake manifold behind the water outlet. It will have a 5 wire electrical connector. The most common problem with this valve is that a chunk of carbon will get lodged in the pintle, holding it open. Remove the carbon and the problem is solved. There is a gasket available in the aftermarket that has a screen over the inlet hole to keep out the carbon.

there's no maximum excellent answer to easily accept without searching on the Blazer. The throttle position sensor must be undesirable yet any sensor must be undesirable. Oxygen sensors or an ignition pickup coil ought to also reason this. Take it to a Chevy broking service or a save that makes a speciality of emissions or track up. Have them conect it to a gadget that reads engine problem codes. some parts shops ought to help you borrow or employ a hand held scaner. Getting it fastened will avert money with more advantageous suited gas mileage. different parts replaced are component to time-honored upkeep although the egr valve reduces smog and engine ping at larger RPM with techniques from routing exhaust gas decrease back into the intake. the significant way it ought to result using is that if there replaced right into a vacuum leak. Reset the ECM codes with techniques from eliminating the fuse.

It is at the rear of the intake manifold, below the TBI unit. It is cylindrical and about 2-3/4" in diameter. It has an electrical plug on it.
The unit your little Blazette has is termed a "Linear" design, and is totally electronically controlled by the PCM.
Before spending the money for a new unit, perform the DIAGNOSTICS for your vehicle rather than firing a shotgun in the dark hoping to repair a problem.
If you follow the proper diagnostic routines BEFORE you perform repairs, yo will repair the problem rather than merely the symptom.
Good Luck and Merry Christmas
