my jeep won't start i think it might be the fuse of the glow plugs the 50a fuse in the box is burnt black but all other fuses are a copper colour would anyone know anything about troopers.

1) get the fuse changed 2)if its a auto trans. maybe its engaged in a gear either D,2,L or R. check and put it to P or N. 3) battery terminal lose 4) battery weak 5)glow plugs need to be changed 6)check fuel pumps for leaks or hoses not in proper, no fuel supply.

with the glow fuse over loaded the immediate suspect is a shorted glow plug removing the buss bar on this model is a little tricky with special nuts and insulators that have to be "just so" and will disappear forever if dropped. they can at this point be checked with an amp-meter as i recall they should initially read approx18 amps and taper down to10-12 amps after 3-4 seconds [don't hold on any longer than than this or you could damage them] [if it draws more it is considered shorted if less open]
one last if every thing around the fuse appears over loaded you probably have connection problems at the fuse as well

Try starting fluid. If it won't start and run briefly on starting fluid you probably have an ignition problem. You might also consider getting a Chilton or Haynes manual for that vehicle. They have trouble shooting tips for just such problems.

by the sounds of things you have answered your own question, you need to change that fuse!
