I never found the brake switch but one user said " On most cars there is a small piece of plastic attached to the pedal arm that depresses the switch and over time tends to break off. "

I'll be damn if I didn't found a piece of a green plastic thingy on the floor right beneath the brake. Hopefully this will be cheap to fix. I am so glad that I found this Yahoo answer thing, it;s amazing how quick people respond and how educated you all are, thanks so much and happy holidays!

The exhaust is still connected at the back, dont want to call someone out to take me to a garage £££, should i break it off (Im guessing i need a new one!) or try to tie it back on. Garage is 2-3 miles away. Is it ok to drive that far? Thanks!

Brake lights are stuck on, won't shut off....... I got under the dashboard and looked under the brake pedal, nothing! I'm a chick and don't know too much about cars but have no money for a mechanic :( I unplugged the battery so it doesn't die but just need to find out where the switch is. Thanks :)

94 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 318...I have owned this truck for nearly 10 years...it has 228,000 miles on it...I know...pretty good for and Dodge. When the fuel tanks gets down between 1/8th to a quarter full...its starts spittin' and sputterin'...trying to cut out and looses power. Once I put fuel in it above a 1/4 tank it smooths out and runs fine. A friend told me about Lucas...I bought a small bottle and put it in along with a full tank of gas. The truck ran perfectly...like when I first bought it...even the typical "Dodge pinging" was gone for the first time in 9 1/2 years. Then all of a sudden on the way home from work 2 days later...it just died with no waring...after a couple of minutes, it started and drove about 6 miles and died again the same way...it started back up and went about 9 miles and died again. Now it only runs for 4-5 seconds, dies, and will just turn over. After it sets, the process starts over. Is this because of Lucas...or what is the problem. Thanks.

i have a 2001 tahoe with the 5.3L v8. I was slowing down to stop at a light and all of a sudden the motr started running rough and when i came to a stop it stalled. i tried to restart it about 5 times then i waited for about 30 seconds and it started right up without any problems after that. i was told the oxygen sensor could be bad. is there any way i can check this without having to take my car to a dealership and pay a arm and a leg for them to tell that it needs to be replaced?

Sometimes it starts right away other times I think I am going to wear my starter out. Just had all filters changed, battery cables cleaned and the battery is strong.

I have a 96 neon with a fuel problem, When it has a full tank of gas its using a quarter tank every 30 miles I've checked and changed the spark plugs and had the injectors cleaned and had the fuel pump replaced but I still cant get the fuel under control. The only other thing I think it might be is a sensor in the fuel line ?

Whenever I have to do a lot of stopping and starting, my 1982 VW Golf overheats. The revs are also very high when I begin to drive it - especially when I put the clutch down - but this usually clears itself once I get a clear run without any stopping (not often in London!). I've taken it to the garage and they can't find anything wrong with it. Any ideas? Thanks!
