If the body is in good shape and it is mechanically sound outside of the engine then you can probably part it out or sell it to a junkyard for more than you paid for it.

It depends where you are. An honest mechanic might put a used engine in for $1500 or so. Then again, you don't know if the transmission or anything else is good, so you're taking a chance.

i own a repair shop,and yes that was a good idea ,you can find a good motor for it real easy,and low miles one at that,,and you,ll have a good car when you get it fixed,,but that was a good deal,,i would buy 3 of those a day if i could find them,you got Lucky on that deal,,because the car will be worth a lot when you get it repaired..but that was a good deal on it,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

well unless your a mechanic, and have a used motor lay'n around that was running, and if it wasnt drivin into the ground, they r dependible cars, but if it looks trashed to you, i was drove hard, would make a good work car, in town, but it will cost you alot more money parts and labor... boogiedy boogiedy

great deal , consult an exchange manual to find what cars have compatible replacement engines and get one that has been rear ended , then swap away and you will get lots of spares in the deal

thats not a bad deal.just put a new rod back in it,if the crank isnt scared,then if you dont want it,just put it up for sale and double your money
